DFP Recruitment Services supports a safe and healthy workplace.

DFP Recruitment Services recognises its moral and legal responsibilities to secure and promote the health, safety and welfare of people at work and to ensure their place of work is protected against risk to health and safety.

In the event an employee is injured at work DFP Recruitment Services accepts its obligation to take all necessary actions to assist employees to stay at or return to work in the shortest possible time.

Insofar as it is practicable, it is the responsibility of DFP Recruitment Services to:

  • provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment with appropriate tools, equipment, systems, hours of work and appropriate breaks
  • gain client's agreement to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all temporary and contract employees
  • engage competent staff capable of effectively and safely carrying out their duties
  • provide information, training and instructions to employees to ensure safe working practices

Client Responsibility

Under their duty of care, it is the responsibility of clients of DFP Recruitment Services to:

  • provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment, with appropriate tools, equipment, systems, hours of work and appropriate breaks
  • induct new employees in the client’s work practices, processes and safety procedures, and
  • allow nominated DFP Recruitment Services representatives (with prior arrangement) to inspect the workplace to assess OH&S factors

Employee Responsibility

As safety at work is both an individual and shared responsibility, it is the responsibility of all employees of DFP Recruitment Services to:

  • ensure their jobs are performed safely, without risk to themselves or their colleagues; and
  • comply with the security and safe work practices and emergency procedures of the client while on assignment as a temporary, contract or casual employee of DFP Recruitment Services
  • attend and participate in any training sessions provided
  • report any workplace injuries, incidents, hazards or other health and safety concerns immediately to their consultant when they occur
  • participate in rehabilitation and return to work programs after a work related injury or illness
  • ensure that the spread of hours worked and meal or other breaks taken fall within safety guidelines.
